Airworthiness Certification Engineer I - Completions in GAC Appleton

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepares and develops certification deliverables; certification plans, request for conformity (RFC), means of compliance, reports and other documentation as required.
- This position requires experience in program management, effective communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to coordinate Company certification programs for alterations and modifications.
- Candidate should have experience creating certification documents such as ICAs, Ground/Flight Test Plans, Compliance Checklists, Project Specific Certification Plans, etc
- Assists in reviewing certification deliverables to compare compliance checklist, compliance showing, and 8100-9 finding.
- Demonstrates creativity, and the ability to work with the team to solve complex engineering problems, determining program objectives and requirements, and in developing standards and guides for diverse engineering activities.
- Works with their assigned team to ensure that all certification deliverables and schedule are achieved.
- Adhere to Gulfstream safety rules and procedures.
- Apply Gulfstream regulations and policies to daily business activities.
- Weekend and overtime work as required

Job Description
- Assists in developing simple certification plans describing the project scope, certification deliverables, means of compliance, and test/conformity requirements.
- Assists in reviewing certification deliverables to compare compliance checklist, compliance showing, and 8100-9 finding.
- Assists in preparing TIA pre-requisites, draft TIA, and open projects/open PR memo .
- Assists in preparing Summary Compliance Reports .
- Assists in creation and maintenance of Project File for programs as assigned.
- Assists in creation and submittal of correspondence with regulatory authorities as assigned.
- Assists with FCAA validations including applications, SSD and SEI lists, meeting agendas, presentation generation, meeting minutes, action tracking and follow up.
- Basic understanding of aircraft design and systems functions.
- Awareness of FAA certification process and airworthiness standards.
- Awareness of foreign validation principles.
