Job Description

About the Role:

Outside part salespeople are responsible for guiding customers parts and service needs to the appropriate branch. Daily activities include, running established routes, answering phone calls to provide technical customer support, and delivering parts as necessary.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Initiates sales calls to current and prospective customers from branch office
  • Utilizes suggestive selling techniques to encourage additional sales
  • Supports quoting requests as needed
  • Establishes weekly route for personal sales calls
  • Occasional retail counter responsibilities at the branch location
  • Pulls and loads items from parts warehouse that are necessary to keep a well-stocked and organized parts truck
  • Drives parts delivery truck to customer's establishments (frequently requires overnight stay) and unloads sold products to customer, as needed
  • Visually inspects all parts inventory and recommends additional replacement orders
  • Keeps abreast of company product updates, changes in technology and industry trends
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Let's Talk About Your Qualifications:

Prior experience in tank trailers or heavy equipment parts sales is preferred. Ability to travel everyday with some overnight is necessary.
