POSITION SUMMARYU.S. Venture is looking to hire a Benefits Analyst to join our Total Rewards Team! In support of U.S. Venture's values and strategies, this role coordinates, administers, and ensures compliance of our health and retirement programs. The Benefits Analyst serves as the primary liaison with vendors on eligibility, claims, and billing matters. This role will develop employee communication and education related to benefit programs and recommend plan changes and establish governance to support the HRIS and HR Operations teams. The Benefits Analyst will develop reports and analyze data to help understand trends and make data-driven decisions.

This position will work at our Corporate Headquarters in Appleton, WI with a hybrid work schedule.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Administers the Company's total reward programs such as 401k, medical, dental, disability, vision, life insurance, voluntary benefits programs, flexible spending, and health savings accounts including ancillary programs such as vacation and sick time.
  • Manages compliance related to total reward programs, including summary plan descriptions, notices, summary annual reports, ACA forms, and other mandated disclosures.
  • Coordinates periodic team member educational workshops and prepares supplemental educational material, creating awareness of programs.
  • Facilitates new hire benefit communications.
  • Updates and maintains total reward content on the Company's intranet site.
  • Primary point of contact for total reward-related inquiries from team members.
  • Prepares eligibility files and related records for vendors.
  • Maintains eligibility tracking for COBRA and retirees.
  • Creates and audits vendor reports and prepares analysis to identify trends and requested HR metrics.
  • Responsible for the preparation of annual compliance reports including but not limited to non-discrimination testing, 5500 filings, 1094/1095 ACA filings, QNECs, summary annual reports, internal and external audit requirements, plan documents, summary plan descriptions, and approvals.
  • Manage service level agreements and performance guarantees at the contract level; hold benefit partners accountable for the agreed upon deliverables and ensure partners are held accountable on a day-to-day basis.
  • Manages annual benefits enrollment period, 401(k) audit, 401(k) auto enrollment, and 401(k) and FSA non-discrimination testing.
  • Partners with HRIS on workflows and development of new automated processes related to total reward programs.
  • Provides ongoing bi-weekly and monthly audits reconciling applicable supporting financial transactions to the Company's benefit programs and HR data.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Fundamental knowledge of human resources concepts, practices and procedures with 2-3 years of related experience
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and deadlines
  • Proven customer service and organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office, report writer skills, and prior HRIS experience (Workday is preferred).
  • Ability to work independently, in addition to being a positive team player who thrives in a busy work environment
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel 15-25%

Preferred:

  • Associate degree in human resources, accounting, or business management required; bachelor's degree with emphasis in human resources, accounting, or business management preferred; PHR, CBP and/or CEBS preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of various benefit plan types (Medical, Rx, Dental, Vision, FSA, HRS, Dependent Verification, Pension, 401K, Life, Disability, FMLA, STD, LTD, Military leave, etc.).
