Job Description:

Join Ariens Company as a Strategic Sourcing Manager and take charge of sourcing initiatives for purchased Power Equipment and Assigned Commodities across our Brillion, WI facilities, with occasional support for our Ariens UK location. You'll be pivotal in managing relationships between Ariens and suppliers, ensuring optimal balance between in-house capabilities and outsourced needs, while maintaining cost efficiency.

DAY TO DAY...

  • Spearhead the exploration and cultivation of potential new sources, overseeing the quoting process, from initial orders to seamless handoff to materials leaders and planning teams

  • Identify and capitalize on cost reduction opportunities for assigned commodities, including logistical costs, and leverage aggregate purchase volumes across all facilities for maximum cost efficiency

  • Review bid proposals and contracts within budgetary constraints, negotiating favorable terms and warranty provisions with suppliers

  • Evaluate internal production costs to compare against external suppliers for informed decision-making on in-house production versus outsourcing

  • Monitor and communicate supplier performance, utilizing quarterly business reviews and other channels

  • Collaborate closely with internal product teams, facilitating effective communication and support with suppliers

  • Introduce innovative technologies and solutions from both existing and new suppliers to relevant product development teams

  • Develop category strategies, analyze spend opportunities, understand supply environment and optimize service and cost

QUALIFICATIONS...

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in sourcing, supply chain, or procurement

  • Experience in contract negotiation is preferred

  • Demonstrated track record in cost reduction activities is advantageous.

  • CPM certification is a plus

  • Must be able and willing to travel up to 20%
